Myu Idol V Rules & Notes
Rules

- You MUST enter with a valid e-mail address. I will send you your contestant number and any communication to this address.

- Entries must be labeled as yourname_category#_songtitle.mp3 (for instance cookie_category1_allofyoushalldie.mp3)

- All songs must be submitted in MP3 or OGG format. Entries in OGG format will be converted to MP3.

- You can either mix yourself with a karaoke version, record accapella, or record with the original song in the background. If your voice can not be heard CLEARLY over any original vocals, your entry will not be accepted. If this happens, you may record all of your songs again and send them in. Although there was a complimentary mixing service in the fourth MyuIdol, I am unable to provide you with this service as I am terribly busy with college. I apologize for the inconvenience.

- Multiperson songs have been included. These songs may only be used if you record ALL parts. (for example, you can't just sing Usagi's part in "Tabidachi"). I do not recommend singing anything more than a duet, but the option is there. If you can't record a duet, then don't choose one. Backup parts are not needed on songs with obvious solo parts (like Galaxia Gorgeous or Yami Koso Utsukushii) If you're unsure as to whether a song you've chosen falls into this rule, ask me.

- If you chose to sing a colaboration song (such as Chikyuu iro wa Salad Time or Everlasting Moonlight) you are only required to do a solo for the entire song. You do not have to sing the harmony, ect. You can choose to sing it if you wish.

- This is a single person competition. Pairs and groups are not eligible.

- Your songs must be chosen from the category lists for each round. You can not pick and choose. If you ignore the category lists, your entry will not be accepted. You may redo your entry if this happens.

- Please do not do multiple versions of the same song ("Sailor WAR!" & "Sailor War! 94", "Tabidachi" & "Usagi to 4nin no Zureru Omoi", etc.) If you're unsure as to whether songs you've chosen fall into this rule, ask me.

- You must send all NINE of your songs when you enter. This is to keep the competition going continuously and to prevent voting issues in the future.

- Redone versions of a song may be turned in the Saturday before that song would be on the website. For example, a round 1 redo is due by February 9.

- If you are unsatisfied with a song choice you made when you initially turned in your entry, you may change the songs in your entry at your leisure before the competition begins. However, once the competition has started you may only exchange ONE SONG in your entry. For example, if you sung "Koshuuki" for round two, but decide that "Image de Mon Pere" is a better choice, you may switch out the songs. An exchanged song is due at the same time a normal redo would be required.

- Anyone who participated in SeraMyu Idol, Myu Idol II, Myu Idol III, And Myu Idol IV may participate. The only exceptions to this rules are the winners (Manya, Serori, Tamuma, and Cookie) And The Runners-Up (Krissy, Song of Amazon, Enkai, and Pippin).

- All entries must be received in their ENTIRETY by February 1st. If we do not have enough complete entries at that time, I will extend the deadline.

- When you vote, make sure you vote for the person you would like to see leave the competition, not your favorite.

- Contestant names will be revealed at the end of competition or when they leave. (Exit interviews will be held if the contestant is willing)

- Because of contestant anonymity, each contestant will be given a temporary user name for the duration of the competition so they can still participate in the discussion if they wish.

- If there are a large number of entries, the first round or two will be semi-finals (Round 1 - Group A as one poll, Round 1 - Group B as another, etc.)

- The 9 songs will be divided into 7 or 8 rounds depending on the number of contestants. The last round(s) will have 2 songs per contestant.

Notes
- Voting runs from Sunday at 8am to the following Sunday at 8am.
